📝CV Workshop ahead of Year 11 Employer Interview Day
Year 11 students are busy preparing their first CV’s ahead of the employer interview day on 7th December. Following a presentation from Mrs Green, Westgate’s Careers Leader, students were given a dedicated session using the superb Unifrog CV Writing tool, which allows them to draw upon their saved activities and skills development since they joined Westgate in Year 7.
The Westgate6 themed learning in key stage 3 gave students lots of content to add to their CV’s and to showcase their teamwork, problem solving and creative skills, which they have taken into Key Stage 4 and prepared them for their next steps into further education and apprenticeships.
Students will attend the one-to-one mock interviews on 7th December with a wide range of employers and go through their CV’s and future career plans. This is the biggest careers event in the school calendar, and we appreciate the support of local employers who swap their workday for a school day and support the fresh new talent that will emerge ready for the workforce of the future.
