Westgate student attends Safer Slough Partnership in capacity as member of Slough Youth Parliament.
The Safer Slough Partnership (SSP) is a quarterly meeting where partners such as Slough Borough Council, Thames Valley Police, The Court Service, Probation, Children’s Services, local business and other key agencies join together as a multi-agency strategic group to consider issues in Slough that are related to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The key priorities of the group are Violence – Protecting People, Resilience – People & Place and being ready to respond to Emerging Risk.
Suzy has been attending the board as a youth representative on behalf of Slough Youth Parliament since March 2017 to share the views of young people. At the most recent board meeting on 20th March , and following discussions with students at school as well as the Youth Parliament Group, Suzy gave a young person’s perspective on the impact of gangs in Slough.
