Staff, governors,  parents and friends of The Westgate School gathered for a fun fact filled quiz evening.

Over 100 supporters of the The Westgate School battled it out to be crowned quiz team champions. The quiz was the first of several events to mark the 60th anniversary of the school and had a 1958 theme. All monies raised from the entry tickets, raffle draw and auction are part of the schools fundraising campaign to raise £10,000. Over £700 were raised on the night and was a testament to the hard work and generosity of all those involved. A particular mention must go to Katie O'Neill, compere for the evening, and Claire Mulder for organising the questions and prizes.

"I wanted to thank you all for supporting last night in so many different ways – organising, donating prizes, taking part or collecting donations. It was a great way for us to launch our fundraising campaign and we have raised £702.89 just from last night! It makes our target of £10,000 by September seem much more achievable!" Ms Sue Rose, Head teacher.
