Arriving early and looking smart our twenty Year 10 students from Westgate School started the day in the right way. Joined by other students from Slough and Eton, Upton Court Grammar, Burnham Park Academy and Edgebarrow schools, the students were spilt into teams and guided by their O2 mentors. This year’s challenge… ‘Design a website or app to help people stay safe online’.
The highlight of the day was when the students presented their products to O2 staff. The variety of imaginative products, fundraising ideas and design was truly impressive. One O2 staff member comment “I am amaze at how much they have achieved in such a short space of time. Why not check out the links below to see for yourselves? From concept to website in just four hours, wow!
This event was a great opportunity for students to meet their peers from other schools, build confidence and experience the ‘business world’ first hand. From start to finish our students were respectful and ready to learn: excellent representatives of Westgate School! Well done Year 10.Thsnk you to all the O2 ‘gurus’ that worked with the students at this fun and thought provoking event.
