The NHS was launched on July 5th, 1948 and was founded out of the ideal that good healthcare should be available to all, regardless of wealth. There are over 350 jobs roles in the Health and Social Care sector. The NHS is Europe's biggest employer and the fifth biggest employer in the world. Nearly 1.5 million patients interact with the NHS every 24 hours, there are over 100,000 vacancies at any time in the sector.

Will I need to buy anything to do the course? 

No, you will not need any additional resources in order to complete the course. 

What careers could I access after doing Health and Social Care? 

Childcare, Social care, Midwifery, Counsellor, Youth worker, Occupational therapist, and Further education (BTEC Nationals, Degree) 

Can I do Health and Social Care in the sixth form? 

Yes, you can do this if you have previously completed the level 2 qualification.
