Parent/Carer Governor

Further to our recent request for nominations for a new Parent/Carer Governor to join our team, we are pleased to announce that Mrs Zarrin Hamid was the successful candidate.  We did not need to carry out a ballot on this occasion.

Congratulations!  We look forward to working with you.

I would like to nominate myself to become a school governor because I feel that I hold the necessary skills, qualities, and the enthusiasm that will enhance the quality of education and early life experiences provided to our children.  I am an enthusiastic, committed, highly motivated individual who would relish the opportunity to make a positive difference to the education of all pupils and help shape the strategic vision of the school.

My day job is in data analysis and I believe these skills will transfer well to the work of school governance, helping the school to analyse the attainment gaps between groups of pupils and pinpoint where the school needs to be doing more for our children.

I am particularly keen to ensure that all children are safeguarded well and can fulfil their full potential whatever their background, special educational needs, or disabilities.

I am not afraid to ask difficult questions if necessary, on behalf of all the children the school serves. I am also keen to support the school and all its dedicated staff who work so hard to keep this place running smoothly.

I bring an honest and hard-working approach to my work; it is the same attitude I would bring to this important role. I would look to work with parents, teachers, the Head and other Governors to help drive the continued improvement needed to provide our children with the best chance of success.

In summary, I feel that I can contribute to the vision and goals of the school (like maintaining the reputation and developing the ethos) and importantly make a difference to the quality of education provided to our children.
