Safeguarding At Westgate

At The Westgate School we are committed to embed safeguarding into all aspects of school life. We strive to ensure that processes and procedures around safeguarding are maintained at an Outstanding level.

This is supported in the most recent OFSTED report which said ‘The approach to safeguarding is impressive, providing regular training for all staff in child protection and safeguarding procedures.’ Additionally, the safeguarding team have been recognised by OFSTED which stated ‘Leaders are tenacious when liaising with external agencies to ensure the right and prompt support for vulnerable students.’

The Team
