The Westgate School are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable candidate to join our team. Prior experience of working within a school environment is desirable, along with knowledge of relevant software packages ie: 4Matrix, Alps etc. Experience of data management is an essential requirement for this role.
Part of your responsibilities will be monitoring assessment data and reporting to the relevant members of staff as appropriate. You will also be required to work with the Exams Officer during the summer to process and analyse examination results.
You must be highly organised and proficient in IT, especially Excel and able to meet deadlines efficiently.

We are looking to appoint an additional receptionist to support our current team. We are looking for a kind, compassionate individual who would like to be the front face for #teamwestgate. We see this as a key role in our school to welcome our visitors and school community. The ideal candidate will be proactive in working independently and as part of the existing administration team to deliver a high quality service both in person and over the telephone to all our stakeholders.
You will require high levels of emotional intelligence to be able to deal with each unique situation in a calm and kind manner and take pride in your work. Efficient, clear and accurate communication with all stake holders is required.
You will ideally be confident in using various IT programmes (Word/Excel/Outlook) and knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be available.

We have an opportunity for an energetic and motivated Caretaker to join our existing team to ensure that our school provides a safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be proud of our site and committed to ensure that our school premises are well maintained. Ideally you will already have acquired good practical DIY skills and can work independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to complement the teaching staff and to cover occasional short term absences within the school. With the guidance of teachers, the successful applicant will supervise classes in carrying out the work they have been set and assist and motivate students in their learning.
You should ideally be educated to at least A Level, with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills. You need to be an excellent communicator, have sound organisational skills and be able to work confidently using your own initiative. While previous experience is not essential, the ability to motivate young people would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people either in a voluntary or employed capacity.
Prior knowledge of SIMS is advantageous but not essential.
