Our current vacancies are as follows:- 

Data Manager

Required as soon as possible

Term time only plus INSETS/Twilights + 2 set weeks in August (41 weeks)

Hours of work 8.00 – 3.30 Monday to Friday

Level 7 Points 30-35 (starting point 30) Actual Salary £33,435 (FTE £39,263)

The Westgate School are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable candidate to join our team.  Prior experience of working within a school environment is desirable, along with knowledge of relevant software packages ie: 4Matrix, Alps etc.  Experience of data management is an essential requirement for this role.

Part of your responsibilities will be monitoring assessment data and reporting to the relevant members of staff as appropriate.  You will also be required to work with the Exams Officer during the summer to process and analyse examination results.

You must be highly organised and proficient in IT, especially Excel and able to meet deadlines efficiently.

If you have experience in handling large amounts of data and have the skills required to analyse and supply results to a variety of stakeholders, then you could be the person we are looking for.  Please read the job description and person specification for further information.

Receptionist

Required to start as soon as possible

Term time only + 1 INSET (38.2 weeks)

8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday,  8.30am – 3.00pm Friday (32 hours weekly)

(Hours negotiable for the right candidate)

Level 3 Point 5 FTE £24,540   Actual Salary £17,803

We are looking to appoint an additional receptionist to support our current team.  We are looking for a kind, compassionate individual who would like to be the front face for #teamwestgate.   We see this as a key role in our school to welcome our visitors and school community.     The ideal candidate will be proactive in working independently and as part of the existing administration team to deliver a high quality service both in person and over the telephone to all our stakeholders. 

You will require high levels of emotional intelligence to be able to deal with each unique situation in a calm and kind manner and take pride in your work.    Efficient, clear and accurate communication with all stake holders is required.  

You will ideally be confident in using various IT programmes (Word/Excel/Outlook) and knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be available.

Caretaker

Required to start as soon as possible

Full time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks

25 days annual leave per annum rising to 29 days after 2 years service

Actual Salary Level 4 Point 8 £25,742

Hours of work:   Tuesday to Saturday  9.00am – 5.00pm  Finish at 4.30pm on a Friday (this is negotiable for the right candidate)

We have an opportunity for an energetic and motivated Caretaker to join our existing team to ensure that our school provides a safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate will be proud of our site and committed to ensure that our school premises are well maintained.  Ideally you will already have acquired good practical DIY skills and can work independently and as part of a team.

The appointed person must also be prepared to be on ‘call out’ duties after working hours as and when required.  You may be required to be flexible with your working day.

Learning Support Assistants (x2) 

8.15am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday (32.5 hrs)  Term-time + 2 INSET days

Level 3 starting Point 5 Full time equivalent £22,577 Actual salary £18,172 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for four individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Learning Support Assistant to join a highly successful team in an Outstanding School.  We currently offer differing levels of learning support for over 100 students, aged 11-18, within a mainstream learning environment.

Inclusion is our primary goal, and we ensure that all our students, even those with physical disabilities, are enabled to access the full curriculum, learning environment and extracurricular activities, regardless of their individual needs.

Full training is available covering all aspects of the job, including personal care, and staff are fully supported to progress if they would like to.

  Cover Supervisor  - immediate vacancy                                

7:30am to 3:30pm daily Monday to Thursday    7:30am to 3.00pm Friday (37 hours weekly)

Term time only plus INSET days/Twilights (39 weeks)

Level 4 (starting point 8) Actual salary £22,043 per annum FTE £25,742

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to complement the teaching staff and to cover occasional short term absences within the school. With the guidance of teachers, the successful applicant will supervise classes in carrying out the work they have been set and assist and motivate students in their learning.

You should ideally be educated to at least A Level, with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills. You need to be an excellent communicator, have sound organisational skills and be able to work confidently using your own initiative. While previous experience is not essential, the ability to motivate young people would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people either in a voluntary or employed capacity.

Prior knowledge of SIMS is advantageous but not essential.
