ATTENDANCE OFFICER

To start as soon as possible

8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday (32.5 hrs weekly)

Term time only plus 3 INSET days/Twilights (39 weeks)

Level 4 Point 8 Actual Salary £16,412   FTE £21,820

We have a legal obligation to ensure that our student registers are correct and completed at all times.  We are looking to appoint a reliable individual to monitor whole school attendance and to track registers to ensure they are completed accurately.  You will contribute and support the school in ensuring that our students achieve their very best by regularly attending.

You will raise any attendance concerns with Senior Management and Directors of Learning as applicable and inform parents and any other outside agencies as necessary.  

Alongside this role, you will also be required to monitor our school communication system.  You will be required to respond to messages as necessary and to send out communications when requested.

Prior knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous, but training is available.

Cover Supervisor

To start as soon as possible fixed term for 1 year

7:45 to 3:45 daily Monday to Thursday, 7:45 – 3:15 Friday (37 hrs)

Term time only plus INSET days/Twilights - 39 weeks

Level 4 starting Point 8 FTE £21,820  Actual salary £18,684 per annum    

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to complement the teaching staff and to cover occasional short term absences within the school. With the guidance of teachers, the successful applicant will supervise classes in carrying out the work they have been set and assist and motivate students in their learning.

You should ideally be educated to at least A Level, with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills. You need to be an excellent communicator, have sound organisational skills and be able to work confidently using your own initiative. While previous experience is not essential, the ability to motivate young people would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people either in a voluntary or employed capacity.

 

Design & Technology Technician

8.30am to 3.00pm daily Monday to Friday (30 hours weekly) Term time only + 3 Inset Days

Level 3 Point 5 FTE £20,618 Actual salary £14,167 per annum.   

We are looking for a competent and resourceful technician who is able to work independently and on their own initiative.  The main function of this role is to prepare resources and materials for classes in the technology area such as plastics or wood, ensuring sufficient stock is kept for the lessons planned.  Ability to use the workshop machinery, CAD/CAM and laser cutter is desirable but training will be provided if necessary.  This role would ideally suit someone with good practical and organisational skills.

 

Welfare Officer                                                                           

8.00am to 4.00pm daily Monday to Thursday / 8.00am to 3.30pm Friday  (Hours are negotiable for the right candidate)

Term time only plus Inset Days/Twilights (39 Weeks)

Level 4 Point 8 FTE £21,820  Actual salary £18,684 

We are seeking to appoint a caring individual who will be the first point of contact for students and staff that require medical assistance.  You will be patient and able to cope with the fluctuating demands of the medical office.  Prior knowledge of administering first aid is essential, although training will be available for the right candidate.  You will be able to work independently and have a thorough approach in keeping records, both paper and electronic.  You will also ensure that medical supplies are kept to an adequate level. 

You will be responsible for liaising with outside agencies that come into school to administer vaccinations.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with students, parents and all stakeholders.

You may be required to assist in other support departments where necessary.  Attendance at off-site school events may be required.
