Learning Support Assistant                                                               

Required as soon as possible

8.30am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday (30 hrs)   Term-time + 2 INSET days

Level 3 Point 5   Actual salary £13,851 per annum      FTE £20,263

We have an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Learning Support Assistant to join a highly successful team in an Outstanding School.  We currently offer differing levels of learning support for over 100 students, aged 11-18, within a mainstream learning environment.

Inclusion is our primary goal and we ensure that all our students, even those with physical disabilities, are enabled to access the full curriculum, learning environment and extra-curricular activities, regardless of their individual needs.

Full training is available covering all aspects of the job, including personal care, and staff are fully supported to progress if they would like to.

Sixth Form Pastoral Coordinator

Fixed term Maternity Cover - required as soon as possible

8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday   Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm (37 hrs)

Term time only plus 5 INSET days (39 weeks)

Level 4 Point 8  FTE £21,445  Actual salary £18,363

We are seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner with experience of working with young people to assist our Pastoral/Inclusion Team Leader with all aspects of pastoral care for our students. You will be responsible for fostering outstanding relationships with parents/carers and encouraging their full cooperation in allowing students to reach their true potential.

To achieve this you will need to work closely with students, families, staff and external agencies to ensure effective solutions to issues surrounding behaviour and attendance, in line with statutory guidance, and be able to handle complex and challenging casework with the care, sensitivity and attention to detail necessary in such a role.   Excellent communication skills both orally and written with all stakeholders is required.

Sixth Form Administrator

To start as soon as possible

Term time only 8.30am to 3.30pm daily Monday to Friday (32.5hours) plus 4 days (38.8 weeks)

Level 3 Point 5 FTE £20,263   Actual salary £15,162 per annum

Our 6th Form is expanding and you will support the Head of Sixth Form in administering all aspects of the department.  You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently. 

You will be required to work during the summer holidays when examination results are released to register students for Sixth Form and to assist current students with their University placements.  Liaison with staff, students and externals agencies is an essential part of the role, clear communication both verbal and in writing is essential.   For further details please see the job description below.

Previous experience of SIMS database is desirable, however training is available for the right applicant.  Excellent ICT skills are desirable.
