We are looking for a new Parent Governor to join the Governing Board
To Parents and Carers
Are you enthusiastic about wanting the best education for children and do you have some time to spare? Then you are just the person we need to join The Westgate School's Governing Board as a Parent Governor.
What do school Governors do?
Governors work as a team with the Head Teacher to make key decisions vital to the successful running of the school. They:
- make decisions that directly affect the education and well-being of the students;
- play an important role in improving standards throughout the school; and
- are responsible for the school's finances.
As a Parent Governor you can make a valuable contribution to the running of the school. You will be able to offer your enthusiasm and commitment - and as a parent, you'll understand other parents' concerns. Parents with particular skills such as IT or business skills can also offer extremely helpful expertise to the school.
How do I find out more?
If you would like to discuss becoming a Governor in more detail, please leave a message at reception or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I apply?
Please complete the application form and either return it to the school in a sealed envelope marked 'Parent Governor Nomination' or email it to email@example.com by midday on Monday 16 November 2020.
Please note that if more than one nomination is received then a ballot will need to be held
We look forward to hearing from you
Mrs A Witchell
Clerk to Governors
