Students engage with STEM at the Big Bang Fair

As part of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) week, 40 Year 9 students travelled to The Big Bang fair at the NEC in Birmingham.

They were able to see Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics all come alive at the event. Students are now even more fascinated with the idea of pursuing the STEM subjects and it has raised awareness to the importance of these subject in our school.

“It was a fantastic day, we only wish we could have stayed longer.” Dana, Year 9 student.

“The trip was very informative and there was so much to see…very practical.” Briana, Year 9 student.

“This trip was a great way for students to see how Mathematics can be applied in real life situations!” Mrs. Stewart, Maths teacher.
