Appeals for Year 7 September 2026 Entry
Please contact the school prior to submitting your appeal, as it is possible we may have spaces available in Year 7 for September 2026. Please email Mrs Thomas (Admissions) via email: admissions@westgate.slough.sch.uk
Admission appeals for The Westgate School are handled independently of the school.
Monday 2 March 2026 ~ National Offer Day
Friday 15 May 2026 ~ Deadline for lodging an appeal using the on-line appeal form and submit evidence
Wednesday 3 June 2026 ~ Deadline to submit any additional evidence (any evidence received after this date may not be accepted by the panel)
We commit to parents/carers receiving at least 14 school days' notice of their appeal hearing, parents will receive the time and date of their hearing via email to the address they put on their form (Parents/Carers - Please check your junk folder so that this is not missed.) You will receive a copy of the paperwork you have submitted for your appeal, a copy of the school's case and the names of the panel members shortly after this. (Parents/Carers - Please note that all appeal hearings will take place via Zoom Conferencing.)
The clerk will send the appeal papers to the panel and parties a week before the stage one hearing begins.
Wednesday 17 June 2026 ~ Stage One hearings to take place (subject to the availability of panel members)
Week commencing 22 June 2026 - Stage Two hearings (subject to the availability of panel members)
Within 7 calendar days of the last hearing, you will receive an email setting out the decision made by the Independent Appeal Panel. A letter will follow thereafter.
