No Ordinary Library!
Our library supports teaching and learning across the whole school and provides a welcoming space for students and staff alike. We offer a comfortable study area, a growing catalogue of print and electronic resources that support the curriculum, and provide books that facilitate literacy development, reading for pleasure, and independent learning.
Here you will find our core of dedicated and inclusive student librarians, Duke of Edinburgh volunteers, and our weekly chess club.
Opening Times
The library is currently open 9am-3.30pm on Monday - Friday. We welcome staff and students during break and lunch times, and after school.
Sixth formers are also welcome to study in the library during their free periods throughout the day.
AccessIt
Our library management system, AccessIt, allows all of our students to access their personal library accounts, reserve books, leave book reviews, create alerts for new books, access The Day, and so much more.

Summer Reading Challenge 2026
It's nearly the end of another school year, and the summer holidays are almost here!
While you're relaxing and enjoying your time away from school, why not take part in our fun reading challenges? Have a look through the booklet below - you'll hopefully find something to suit your interests, whatever you enjoy reading.
Come and choose some books to enjoy over the holidays, and if you need a scorecard, you can pick one up from the library.
Whatever you decide to do, we'd love to hear all about it in September, so please come and share your experiences with us. We can't wait to see what you've been reading!

National Year of Reading 2026
In 2026, the National Year of Reading celebrates reading as part of everyday life... connected to the things that inspire us, from family time and favourite films to sport, food, and music.
With children across the UK reading less than in the past, this initiative highlights the importance of stories in building confidence, imagination, and learning at every age.
We encourage families to make time for reading together, whether through shared stories, library visits, or simply enjoying a good book for pleasure. The right book really is out there for everyone.
