Hello from Friends of Westgate!
We’re a small group of parent volunteers, working to make The Westgate School a positive, inspiring place for all our children. Our mission is to support projects that create new opportunities, enhance learning, and improve the school environment.
We plan events and activities to raise funds that benefit both the school and the wider community - we’d love your support!

Upcoming Events - Family Spring Quiz Night
Join Us for a Fun-Filled Family Spring Quiz!
Hosted by the wonderful Friends of Westgate, we’re excited to invite you to an evening of laughter, and friendly competition!
Date & Time: Thursday, 12 March | 6–8 pm
Quiz Starts: 6:30 pm
Bring your family and friends and enjoy:
- A lively quiz with a spring twist
- A mini spring market
- Refreshing drinks and light nibbles
- A raffle brimming with seasonal prizes
- A cash prize for the winning team
Team Info:
Teams of 4–6, or join one on the night.
Who Can Attend:
Children from Year 7 (11+) must be accompanied by an adult
Sixth formers may attend independently
Tickets:
Book in advance for a discounted rate of £6 per person, or simply turn up and purchase at the event for £8 per person.

Christmas Quiz Night 2025
Following the success of our Christmas Quiz Night on Thursday 4th December 2025, we’re delighted to share that it was a fun-filled evening packed with festive cheer, brilliant quiz moments, plenty of raffle prizes, and incredible support from our two fantastic stallholders: LB Creations and Tropics
Organised by Friends of Westgate and expertly hosted by our wonderful Quiz Master, Mr Crossingham, it was a fantastic way to kick-start the festive season. Our winning team took home £50!
Thanks to the generous support of our school community, we raised just over £300. All funds raised will go directly towards supporting new opportunities and experiences for the students of Westgate School.
Pre-Loved Uniform

Donating Pre-Loved Uniform:
We are still collecting good-quality, unused Westgate uniform to resell as part of our pre-loved uniform bank. Items like blazers, jumpers, shirts, trousers, skirts, and PE kits are all welcome.
Please drop off donations in the bucket outside Reception anytime between 8:30am–3:20pm.

We’re looking to grow our Friends of Westgate group by welcoming more volunteer parents and carers. Together, we want to:
