A Spellbinding Celebration for Harry Potter Book Day
On Thursday, 17 October we celebrated Harry Potter Book Day in the school library. Harry Potter Book Day is an annual event which gives fans around the globe the chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s iconic series.
Students who signed up for the event were given a special Harry Potter Day library pass and enjoyed celebrating this year's theme: Care of Magical Creatures.
Students from various year groups enjoyed Potter themed treats while taking part in a reading, designing their own dragon eggs, and competing in a magical creature themed trivia. We were thrilled to see older students attend the celebration for a second or third year in a row and to see so many new Year 7 faces.
Students expressed that they couldn't wait to attend again next October and wished that this was a more frequent celebration. We love their enthusiasm and can't wait to see what next year's theme will be!
