Climate & Careers - STEM Workshop
Our Year 10 students had the privilege of taking part in an inspiring talk on climate change, delivered by a STEM Ambassador. The session explored how climate change is already affecting our world, what the future may look like, and - importantly - the wide range of industries and career opportunities emerging within the climate and sustainability sector.
Students learned how climate change is shaping innovation globally, including how major investors and multimillionaires are funding green technologies and sustainable solutions. This helped students to see climate change not only as a global challenge, but also as an area full of opportunity, ambition, and future careers.
Younger year groups also took part in hands-on practical activities linked to climate change, including investigations involving soil and environmental factors. These sessions encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and real-world application of scientific concepts.
It was a fantastic day of learning across the school, helping students to connect science to real-life issues and future pathways.
