EPQ Enrichment: Southampton University Library Experience

During their EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) trip to Southampton University, students were immersed in a rich academic environment, with the university library serving as their primary resource hub. The students utilised the wealth of information at their fingertips to enrich their understanding and support their projects.

Gurleen - Year 12 Student

"The Southampton University trip was absolutely fantastic. We were provided with exclusive access to extensive resources and state-of-the-art computing facilities in order to undertake research for our EPQ. Our host for the day, Katrina, was simply exceptional and provided invaluable tips for our EPQ and engaged with each student individually to support their project. The opportunity to delve into the vast expanse of knowledge housed within the university's five-tiered library was truly unique and informative- you name a topic and there was a book on it. We also were able to have lunch in the university's communal lunch space, this immersion in the bustling energy of campus life made me feel truly feel like a university student. This trip not only provided me with access to useful resources to support my EPQ but also reaffirmed my passion for furthering my education and attending university."
