Global Opportunities Through Language Learning - Workshop
Our MFL department welcomed a visiting teacher from an International School in Germany.
During the visit, he worked closely with our Year 8 and Year 9 students, leading a range of engaging and interactive speaking activities that highlighted how languages can be used in real-life situations and international careers. Students particularly enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions about his experiences of teaching and living abroad. Through these conversations, they gained a valuable insight into the many opportunities that come from learning and using languages beyond school.
Our Year 7 students also had the chance to meet our visitor as well, which sparked great curiosity about travelling, working and studying in other countries.
The visit helped students see the wider value of language learning beyond the classroom and understand how languages can open doors to global opportunities.
