At our school, this day is a reminder of why we do what we do every day... creating learning experiences that empower students to think critically, grow confidently, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Learning should open doors, build understanding, and help every student recognise their potential.

The 2026 theme, “The power of youth in co-creating education,” highlights the importance of young people’s voices and ideas in shaping the education systems that affect them. We see this every day in students’ curiosity, creativity, leadership and willingness to collaborate.

It highlights the role young people play not just as learners, but as active contributors to the learning process. Around the world, students are shaping conversations about how education should respond to global challenges, emerging technologies, and changing societies.
