Personal Development Day
On Thursday 9th October, we held our very first whole school Personal Development Drop Down Day of the academic year, and it was a fantastic success!
Years 7 and 8 focused on building positive friendships, taking part in activities designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and empathy. Meanwhile, Years 9 to 13 explored their next steps post-16 and post-18, gaining valuable insights into future pathways including university, apprenticeships, and careers.
We were delighted to welcome a wide range of external visitors, including representatives from Mars, CAMHS, New Buckinghamshire University, and the Red Cross, who each delivered inspiring and informative sessions.
A real highlight of the day was seeing some of our alumni students return to deliver a session to our current Year 13s about the apprenticeship programme at Mars. These former students first learned about the opportunity through a similar school session, and are now thriving in their apprenticeships!
Our Year 13s received the same presentation this year and we’re excited to share that applications for the Mars apprenticeship programme are now open. We strongly encourage our students to apply!
