Windsor Street Angels Visit

GCSE RS students recently welcomed a representative from Windsor Street Angels as part of their study of Street Pastors. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore how Christian organisations put their faith into action by serving their local communities.

During the session, students learned about the differences between Street Angels and Street Pastors, how the organisation was established, and the motivations that inspire volunteers to support others. The speaker explained how faith, compassion and a commitment to helping people drive their work throughout the community.

Students were particularly engaged by the real-life stories shared during the visit. These included examples of supporting people experiencing homelessness, offering practical help to vulnerable individuals, and providing a listening ear to those facing difficult circumstances. These experiences helped students connect their classroom learning to real-world examples of Christian beliefs in action.

It was a valuable experience that helped students gain a deeper understanding of charity, community service and the positive impact faith-based organisations can have on people's lives.
