The Westgate School has served the local community since 1958 and over the past 67 years, thousands of students have successfully completed their secondary education here.
Schools must be more than just serving the educational needs of a local community, they should offer wider experiences beyond the classroom as well as offer opportunities to thrive in other areas of life.

Parent Teacher Association - Friends of Westgate
Our PTA, the Friends of Westgate (FoW), has already made a fantastic start by raising around £240 during the summer term through second-hand uniform sales and running a FoW café at parents’ evenings. Their efforts not only support the school financially but have also helped to strengthen the vital links between the school and our local community.
We’re now looking to grow our Friends of Westgate group by welcoming more volunteer parents and carers. Together, we want to:
- Raise valuable funds for the school
- Bring our community closer together
- Support school events and initiatives where needed
