8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 3.30pm Friday
NJC Level 64 Points 24-29 Actual Salary £30,778-£34,530 (FTE £36,508-£40,958)

We have a vacancy for a flexible and well-organised team leader to join our existing team of technicians to support our large Science Department. The faculty consists of 11 laboratories and two large modern prep rooms.

The ideal candidate must have science qualifications up to ‘A’ level or equivalent and a genuine interest and love of science. They must be proactive and able to work independently in a supportive environment and ideally have experience as a senior science technician or team leader.

To lead the Technician Team to prepare practical resources and maintain facilities, in order to safely and accurately meet the practical needs of the science curriculum. This includes line management of the Technician Team and liaison with staff both inside and outside the department. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.

The job entails preparation and organisation of resources for the smooth operation of science lessons and maintenance of equipment and laboratories.

Any previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous but enthusiastic trainees are also invited to apply. Training, development and progression opportunities are encouraged and available for the right person.
